Job Title: Vice President, Growth

Reports to: Chief Strategy Officer

Purpose of the role

Build quality pipeline for the agency through the oversight and direction of the Marketing & Sales function and lead the pursuit of the new business target.


Measuring Success

  • Continued pipeline health in relation to revenue and new business targets.
  • Pitch win rate.
  • Clarity of Ledger Bennett proposition within Marketing & New Business efforts.
  • Successful creation of the Marketing Plan and the team’s fulfilment of the activity within it.
  • Marketing activity KPIs (to be agreed) e.g. web traffic, content engagement, speaking opportunities, inbound lead volume, social following.


Overview of responsibilities

  • New Business (Pitches & proposals).
  • Oversee pitches and ensure the quality of the agency response is best-in-class at all times.
  • Bring the right internal specialisms together to build cohesive and impactful pitch responses that deliver against the client brief.
  • Ensure the prospects experience is first-class from the moment they provide an RFI through to the final pitch response.
  • Ensure the team are managing every pitch in an organised and professional manner with run-throughs and rehearsals conducted.
  • Build relationships with agency leads across the wider Havas Media Network and bring in joint pitch opportunities with other network agencies.


New Business (Best practices & assets)

  • Work with the CCO to develop a ‘how we win’ pitch ethos & guide.
  • Work with the CCO and the leadership team (LT) to evolve the Ledger Bennett creds as the agency grows.
  • Work with the CCO and the leadership team (LT) to create creds for joint propositions and take them to market.
  • Oversee the team to develop props and sales plays to support prospecting and proposal efforts.
  • Oversee the team to develop the repository of content & materials required for pitch and proposal responses to create efficiencies.


Marketing

  • The Marketing Strategy for 2025 will be created by the Leadership Team and Chief Client Officer, this role is responsible for taking that strategy forward into a Marketing Plan and overseeing the Marketing team to deliver on it.
  • Oversee the Marketing team with guidance on strategy, feedback and approvals where questions & pivots to the marketing plan arise.
  • Oversee the Marketing team to ensure Ledger Bennett is well represented across the Havas networking and event calendar.
  • Ensure all Marketing activity lines up with the growth goals of the business and the overarching marketing strategy.
  • Work closely with Marketing teams across the Havas Media Network to leverage PR and broader amplification opportunities.


Reporting

  • Oversee the Marketing team to create a marketing dashboard that connects marketing spend and activity to pipeline and $ wins.
  • Oversee the New Business team to update the new business dashboards to accurately show the current pipeline and forecasts.
  • Build a historic view of new business data that allows for trend analysis and performance tracking and comparison over time e.g. win rates, funnel velocity, lead source etc.
